Coach Gus Sirakis is in his 5th year as the Glen Cove Girl's Varsity Coach. Gus is a guidance counselor in the Glen Cove School District and his caring and attention to detail make him a great educator. Gus also does a very good job of making sure every girl in the Glen Cove program is working hard and doing their best not only athletically but academically as well. He seems to "get it" when it comes to the concept of the student athlete. Team building and character are cornerstones of Gus' approach. Coach Sirakis is well known for putting together an annual team trip taking every girl in the program for a fun day at a St Johns Women's game. Gus has coached at both 5star and Game7 camps. Coach Sirakis' teams have made the playoffs the last two years.
